FOUNDATION POLICY PLAN

MFM

Purpose

The main purpose of the church is to propagate the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ. Through teachings cutting across: salvation, holiness, repentance, forgiveness, love, prayer, praise and worship, evangelism, Holy Ghost baptism and deliverance amongst other things, the church prepares its members to become true disciples of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Teaching

The teachings of the church shall be based on biblical principles. Any external supporting materials must be in line with the Holy Bible which is the word of God.

Membership

Everybody is welcome to attend all church services and special programmes. However to be recognised as a member of the church, everybody is encouraged to be a member of one or more of the following groups: prayer warriors, choir, ushering, cleaning, technical, media, audio, visitation, evangelism, children’s department translation and importantly house fellowship. Intending member not identifiable with any of these groups is considered just a friend of the church. New members shall be required to go through foundational class to fully understand what it means to be saved and some fundamental teachings of the word of God.

Children’s Group

The children’s group shall be supervised by an adequate number of responsible adults. And during special programmes or events for children the number of adult supervision will be determined by the size of the group and the degree of challenge of the events.

Teenage Group

Adequate responsible adult shall supervise the teenage group. Teaching in this group shall be based on biblical principles and should inspire and nurture the teenagers to become responsible youth and ultimately better ambassadors of Christ. Teenagers shall be encouraged to put up the best of behaviour within and outside the church. To be a teacher in this group, it is required that intending teachers are genuinely born again and the spiritual maturity of intending teachers is of immense importance. The teenage group shall also participate in a camping programme at least once in a year. Programmes for at camping shall be designed by the leaders of the group.

Youth Group

The youth department shall have a vibrant minister as the leader. Activities and programmes within this department shall be based on the word of God and shall be tailored into graduating the youths into responsible adults. Programmes involving external institutions must seek approval from the Pastor of the church. Leaders of this group shall constructively mentor the teenagers to meet their divine destiny.

Adult Group

The adult group shall constitute adults outside the age brackets considered to be children, teenagers and youth. This adult group shall also constitute the main church. From the main church teachers and leaders will be delegated to oversee the children, teenage and youth groups. The grouping is mainly for organisational convenience, the church shall continue to exist as one body and one family.

Special Church Programmes

For special events/programmes such as our annual crusade held outside the church building, parents shall take responsibility of their children. If it is impossible for parents to look after their children because of duty-bound in respect of the event/programme, the children department leaders shall automatically take responsibility for the children.

Church Building

The church building is accessible to all members. The church building is open during the week on service days from 13:00 hours except there is an appointment with the Pastor for a specific time. And for Sundays’ services the church shall be open from 07:30 hours For PMCHs, the church shall be open from 07:00 hours. And for every other Saturday and days of the week, where there is a special church programme, the church shall be opened at least two hours before the start of the programme.

Commercial and Political Activities

Commercial and political activities are not permitted in the church building – both inside the main auditorium, offices and all spaces that make up the church building.

Support and welfare

Members in need can request for assistance from the church. Requests should be made to the welfare department for consideration. The welfare department shall consider requests for support on a case-by-case basis.

Financial Aid

The church shall mainly rely on the contribution of members to fund all church activities. Contribution although encouraged, but shall be on a voluntary basis.

Safety

Safety of members shall be given special attention during church activities by the ushering team. The emergency exit should be cleared at all times. Members that require medical aid during church activities are encouraged to inform the church for relevant action.

Church facility

All church services and programmes shall be held in the church facility. However, special events such as the annual crusade where the turnout is expected to be beyond the capacity of the church facility shall be held in a different location big enough to accommodate the anticipated guests.

Transportation support

To help members, the church shall use its bus to transport members to and fro the nearest bus/train station before and after church programmes.

Special visitation

The church shall routinely visit hospitals, prisons, orphanage homes, elderly homes, to give words of encouragement to hospital patients and prison inmates respectively. Prayer and material support shall be given to patients in the hospitals and other homes of the needy.

Community support

The church shall provide community support to the best of its capacity. The church shall encourage its members to give back to the communities in their own little ways. The church shall mentor its members to be law abiding at all times.

Training

From time to time, members in leadership position shall be trained through specialized programmes and seminars to empower them to continue to discharge their duties as ministers.

Seminars

The church shall organise seminars from time to time on subjects like marriage, leadership, entrepreneurship and business and societal orientation. The church shall invite experts to make presentations during such seminars/worships. Participation in seminar shall be free. Members are encouraged to partake and invite friends and family members who are not the member of the church.

Mentoring/counselling

The Pastor of the church shall provide spiritual mentorship to all members and friends of the church who require mentoring/counselling.
